weekend project: gift wrapping with ephemera.

i was invited to join this board on pinterest and thought what better what to re-introduce the weekend project post to the blog. i only used what i had around the house, starting with cutting up an old paper bag for the brown paper packaging-so simple. then i gathered bits of ephemera i have collected and had at home. i got these results by
painting the feather and leaf with acrylic paint (the sand dollar didn't work out) and pressing them paint side down onto the paper. you can use a piece of paper on top to help smooth out the paint without getting your hands too dirty. print the paper and wrap-up your goodies when the paint is dry- which doesn't take very long at all! i also thought for some variety, you can simply tape on a beautiful found feather or sand dollar to your gift. pretty packaging you can do yourself, it doesn't cost anything and it's so easy!
