i don't feel like i have the right foundation to get into the political arguments that might stem from this video (despite having a background in art history & theory); i just want keep it simple and say that this has .moved.me.

this girl is so gloriously unselfconscious, it makes me wish i had something to focus on so wholeheartedly and with such passion (even for just 3 minutes and 52 seconds). she is incredible. my favourite bit is sitting at the little table- i could watch it on repeat.

i stumbled upon these old 'erotica' images through the huffington post yesterday. i love how simple and demure they are. the women don't appear overly made-up, if even a little rough around the edges; i love the frizzy hair on some. plus, who doesn't love the style of the roaring 20's? with the great gatsby coming out this month, i can see a resurgence of 1920's style in our future.

*i was given a gorgeous bespoke balloon for my last birthday that stayed afloat for weeks. waking up to this stunning creature, put a smile on my dial every morning; it was the gift that kept on giving. check it out stealing the scene below:

i've been going through my photos of my my trip (it's about time i share them with you) and became distracted with a few from paris that looked perfect for an animated GIF (!). you're probably going to be sorry i ever learned these at blogshop, but you can't blame a girl for practicing her new skills. et voilà!

sore muscles.

when i'm not drooling over interiors images in magazines, books and online. or assisting super star sydney stylists. or getting crafty at home...i can be found choreographing competitive level gymnast's floor routines. i usually always get severe creative block and stress about going in and even starting the routine with the girl and it always ends up being a positive experience and the final result is often better than the one before. it's amazing what happens when you push yourself. such a small, simple lesson that i learn time and again. the other lesson i learn is that i'm not as fit and agile as i used to be and i always end up showing girls what i want them to do, rather than explaining verbally...pulling muscles in the process. ha. this weekend, i'm sore from a session on friday, but it's that good kind of sore. ahhhh. it almost makes me want to take a dance class and feel like this on a more regular basis.
