as you may know, i visit my pinterest account regularly for inspiration; be it interior styling, photography, fashion. i noticed recently that i had pinned a lot of images of classic movie stars on the beach in white bathing suits and then realised that i had many similar images of myself in my favourite white one-piece from a trip to idyllic fiji last year. it's amazing how similar some of the shots are without having even tried to copy them. looking back on these images has me eager to return to that paradise soon- it was something else!

hidden treasure: Vivien Maier.
'quite possibly the most important street photographer of the 20th century was a 1950s children’s nanny who kept herself to herself and never showed a single one of her photographs to anyone. Decades later in 2007, a Chicago real estate agent and historical hobbyist, John Maloof purchased a box of never-seen, never-developed film negatives of an unknown ‘amateur’ photographer for $380 at his local auction house.' he got them developed and discovered that were no ordinary happy snaps, they are stunning works of art, by a very private and mysterious woman- Vivien Maier. upon searching for the artist, he found that she had passed away. her images have however, rocked the art world and are being exhibited all over the globe; a documentary is also being made. her work lives on and i dare say will leave an impression, whoa.

i heart hong kong.
there was something really special about hong kong; it had that feeling about it that you couldn't quite put your finger on. yes, it was busy, packed full of people, humid and hazy, but it was wonderful! some of the best food we had on our trip was consumed here...soooo goooooood. i didn't have any time to do any shopping, but apparently that's great too! hong kong is a place that i cannot wait to visit again. most of these images are from our day spent at the giant buddha- spectacular lantau island.

growing crazy!
one of my favourite things in my whole apartment is this hanging plant i have in my bathroom that has woven its way across four walls. it's almost a miracle how constantly it thrives even from its original small pot. i just love watching it grow; spotting new leaves forming each morning when i'm in the shower. we are getting a few rooms in our house painted and i had to take the plant down today. i actually had to peel vines of it off of the wall because it had glued itself to it- amazing. i will be putting her back up as soon as the paint is dry of course, but it will never quite be the same. don't you love it too?
