i'm currently reading this wonderful book. it belongs to a friend of mine, so i'm trying to rush through it to get it back to her. however, this book is not the type that you rush through...you may not even ever read it cover to cover. i feel like it's something you'll have around forever and can sneak a peek at if you need guidance or reassurance along your way. hmmm...that makes it sound like a self-help book(eeeey), but i assure you it's not, though its purpose
is to educate and motivate(i think). yesterday i decided i needed a copy of my own, so i bought myself one at my
favourite(could also equate to dangerous to my bank balance, buuuutttt not really because the whole reason it's my favourite is because it's so affordable) place-
the book depository.
here is my most treasured quote from the book so far:
'So it is said that if you wander the desert, and it is near sundown, and you are perhaps a little bit lost, and certainly tired, that you are lucky, for La Loba may take a liking to you and show you something-something of the soul'.
Go Dr. Clarissa Pinkola Estes! she is among other things- an award winning scholar and poet, jungian analyst and a cantadora <---super cool. this is the woman who sings tales in the latina tradition (think penelope cruz in '
volver'). love this!
