to ring in the big, bright new year we decided to go all out and have a seafood night. well, go all out we did- we went to the sydney fish markets on what must have been one of the busiest days of the year, bought beautiful lobster tails, a bag of prawns (we cooked them ALL which was at least 3 times more than we needed) and then clarified two (four?) pounds of butter for dipping purposes. we had dill butter, garlic butter and butter butter, butter butter. oof. it took me three days before i could re-enter the kitchen to do the dishes. the scent of dill and (you guessed it) butter was overwhelming and even the thought of seeing a prawn made my tummy a little queasy. but, that's all behind us now. it was great and inspiring night. i'd gladly do it again soon with the same wonderful company!
the martha stewart bouillon.
we busted out the head massager, which some people didn't love...
while others loved it enough to wear it as a hat for the night.
